Years ago I worked at Fort Knox as an Electronic Technician. We tested military vehicles and trained the military crews for some modified tanks. The most unusual place I fell asleep was in the gunner’s seat of a M60 tank while it traveled a 20K cross country course. In my defense it was all “buttoned up” and the gun was in the travel lock position. I didn’t have much to look at.
