Looking for a way to get your scruffy-looking second grader ready to go back to school? JC Penney wants to help. They’re offering FREE HAIRCUTS to kids in grades K-6 during the month of August. Most parents take advantage of sales this time of year, but there are some other things you can do to save a few dollars:
Shop online – it saves fuel, and makes it easier to compare prices (especially on big-ticket items, such as computers)
Make a list, and stick to it – clean out closets ahead of time, sort through last-year’s supplies, and make a list of what you need. Last year’s school scissors probably work just fine, and maybe the sweaters the kids got for Christmas will still fit.
Team up with other parents - many items are less expensive to buy in bulk (notebooks, pencils, fruit snacks, etc), so look for ways to purchase these things with other parents at a big box store such as Costco.
