We’ve celebrated Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday. Tuesday was a “Giving Tuesday.”
Charities, families, businesses and individuals came together to transform the way people think about, talk about and participate in the giving season.
It’s a simple idea. Find a way for your family, your community, your company or your organization to join in acts of giving. Tell everyone you can about what you are doing and why it matters. Join a national celebration of our great tradition of generosity. Learn more at givingtuesday.org.

-I connected with 2 very giving hairdressers at my church who come to the school I work at on Tuesday mornings and cut children’s hair for free. It is such a loving act and a self esteem builder.
-A group of ladies donated some mittens for the younger students so that they do not have to struggle getting their fingers into gloves.
-Currently, my friend and I are helping at church to collect toys for the Christmas Store at The Other Way on Fulton Street. They have toys $10 and up and parents work to earn “money” to purchase Christmas gifts for their children.
