This week, we were invited to Jeannie’s garage sale. They’re raising money to fund the adoption of their daughter from Haiti. It’s been a very long process for the family, and it looks like they’ll be going to pick her up sometime in the next month.
We left Sue’s rocking chair at Jeannie’s house and found something else that rocks. It’s a rocking horse that’s supposed to make sounds and shake its head and tail. After a minor surgical procedure (a.k.a. installing batteries) by John, our engineer Tom, and Intern Dan, we still can’t get it to work…but we’ll keep trying!
The Large Scale Garage Sale made a visit to Sand Lake last week, thanks to an invitation from Sue. It didn’t take long for us to trade our picnic basket for a ROCKING CHAIR! We were so excited to get it that we didn’t think about how to fit it in the WCSG Jeep. John’s logic and expert packing skills came in handy.
This week, we were invited to Leah’s garage sale as part of the Family Friendly Morning Show Large Scale Garage Sale. Before we had a chance to trade last week’s projector for another item, a friend of hers decided to buy it from us.
We used that money to purchase a fully-equipped picnic basket and some cookies from the kids at the sale.
