More protests over anti-Muslim film

UNDATED (AP) — There've been violent protests today in Afghanistan and Pakistan, against the anti-Islam film that ridicules the Prophet Muhammad.
Hundreds of people in northwest Pakistan have set fire to a press club and a government office, sparking clashes with police that killed one demonstrator.
In Afghanistan's capital, Kabul, hundreds of Afghans burned cars and threw rocks at a U.S. military base.
JAKARTA, Indonesia (AP) — Indonesians angered over an anti-Islam film are protesting in more cities, but no violence has been reported.
Demonstrations were held today in the cities of Medan and Bandung and were scheduled for the capital, Jakarta. Over the weekend in the central Java town of Solo, protesters stormed KFC and McDonald's restaurants, forcing customers to leave and management to close the stores.
The U.S. Embassy issued an emergency message to American citizens today, saying about 1,000 people were expected to march to the mission with about 1,500 police on hand.
The American-made film "Innocence of Muslims" ridicules Islam and depicts the Prophet Muhammad as a fraud, a womanizer and a madman. It has prompted violent protests in several countries.
