— Torii Hunter drove in the tiebreaking run with a two-out infield single in the eighth inning, and the Detroit Tigers rallied from a 4-0 deficit to beat the Toronto Blue Jays 7-6 on Tuesday.
Hunter had four singles and Miguel Cabrera hit a three-run home run, his 26th, as the Tigers snapped a three-game losing streak.
Colby Rasmus homered and drove in four runs for the Blue Jays, who failed to extend their seven-game home winning streak.
Omar Infante singled off Neil Wagner (1-3) to begin the eighth, moving to second on Alex Avila's sacrifice bunt and taking third on Austin Jackson's deep fly ball. Hunter followed with a comebacker that bounced off Wagner and rolled to shortstop Jose Reyes, whose throw to first was too late to get Hunter.
— Major League Baseball has suspended Rick Porcello of the Detroit Tigers for six games for hitting Tampa Bay's Ben Zobrist with a pitch.
The decision was announced Tuesday before the Tigers played at Toronto.
Porcello threw high and inside, hitting Zobrist in the first inning of Sunday's game against the Rays.
He is 4-6 with a 5.21 ERA this season.
— An abbreviated rehab start isn't slowing down Anibal Sanchez's return to the Detroit Tigers.
Manager Jim Leyland said Tuesday that Sanchez will come off the disabled list Saturday to start at Cleveland.
Sanchez has been out since June 16 with a strained right shoulder, and had to leave his rehab start with Class A Lakeland on Monday after taking a line drive off his lower left leg. He had a bruised leg but nothing more.
Leyland said Sanchez, who allowed two hits in 1 2-3 scoreless innings before his injury, had not been able to throw as many pitches as the Tigers would have liked. He also said Sanchez would be on a limited pitch count against the Indians.
