WCSG's Partnership with JA Biztown
WCSG partners with Junior Achievement
WCSG, in partnership with Junior Achievement of the Michigan Great Lakes, is excited to announce our new radio storefront in JA BizTown!
Thanks to the support and collaboration of our community partners, kids across West Michigan can now oversee and operate a simulated WCSG studio where they can explore a future in non-profit broadcasting through a fun hands-on experience.
What is BizTown?
“JA BizTown,” a unique program through Junior Achievement of Michigan Great Lakes, is an interactive marketplace where students play roles as citizens, workers, and consumers to learn how a free enterprise system works. JA BizTown not only supports state standards in reading, mathematics, social studies, but it also provides a fun way for kids to develop work and career readiness skills outside of the traditional classroom.
There are over 15 storefront businesses in JA BizTown, including banks, restaurants, civic institutions, and more. WCSG is proud to represent the broadcasting industry, giving kids the chance to not only interact with and learn about radio, but to also experience how ministry, media, and education can come together.
