When we asked WCSG listeners for the Scriptures that provide them the most comfort when times are tough, they generously supplied us with a full list. We had so many Bible passages to choose from that we began a full series of blog posts: Today we’re going to share your top 7 choices for uplifting Bible verses. These were verses that came up again and again. Multiple listeners loved each of these. You might want to bookmark this page to refer to in the future! All the Scripture verses below are from the New International Version of the Bible. Psalm 46:1 Psalm 46:10 Romans 8:28 Philippians 4:6-7 Philippians 4:13 Isaiah 41:10 Proverbs 3:5-6 If one of these Bible verses speaks to you right now, make sure you find a way to add it to your everyday life. Write it out on a notecard and tape it to your mirror. Read it while you brush your teeth. Copy the words down on a sticky note and place it in your Bible. Read the words with your morning coffee. Pray them back to God. Put the Scripture on your phone’s lockscreen. You might go the extra step to see if you can purchase a piece of artwork with the Bible verse on it. Anything you can do to place the words in front of your eyes will help you to focus on them and eventually memorize them. Want to read more posts like this? God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. How to get Scripture into your heart

You heavens above, rain down my righteousness; let the clouds shower it down. Let the earth open wide, let salvation spring up, let righteousness flourish with it; I, the Lord, have created it.
