Our listeners are the BEST! WCSG is so grateful for all of you who came together to support the Touch of Home Community Connections Drive! For this drive, WCSG’s goal was to love on our special needs neighbors, a group of people that are often overlooked by our world. We connected with David’s House Ministries in Wyoming, Harbor House Ministries in Jenison, and Benjamin’s Hope in Holland. Each of these ministries provides a place for adults with special needs to live, and grow in community while doing fun, creative activities and engaging in opportunities that support skills and abilities. Through your generous hearts and donations, we were able to distribute over 600 items to these various homes throughout West Michigan. They all received sheets, bath towels, kitchen towels and MORE to restock and refresh their linen closets. They are excited to be able to continue to serve as the hands and feet of Jesus for those who need it most with these items! The WCSG team had the opportunity to talk to some staff, all of whom expressed how deeply grateful they were for all the items and how much of an impact it makes in the work they do. Christ calls us to love our neighbors, and our listeners never hesitate to deliver on this mandate. Their support of people needing extra love and care in our community demonstrates God’s loving hand at work. How blessed we are to be a part of it. We can’t thank you enough for coming together for our community and to support our neighbors with special needs!
