4/18/24 - Travelin' Together (Kensington Nature Park)
Posted by: Joel Hill | Thursday, April 18th, 2024 ( 6:00am)
With almost 45-hundred acres to explore, the Kensington Metropark offers something for everyone in the family. Our WCSG’s Travelin’ Together explores the park in Milford, starting with the abundant wildlife that calls the park home. The park is known for the Cranes and Herons that nest while traveling along their migration patterns, but you’ll see owls and birds of all sizes. For an overview, start at the Nature Center which will help introduce you to the wildlife that calls the park home. Then take your bike out or hike along the seven miles of paved trails. After a vigorous ride, you can cool down at the beach or visit the splash pad for the little ones. To close out the evening, enjoy a cruise along Kent Lake while hearing stories about the park’s history and nature. For more information including park fees, visit Kensington.

I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more.
