(COOPERSVILLE, Mich.) - The Coopersville Farm Museum and Event Center honors farming, agriculture, and rural life through arts, entertainment, and exhibits. The Museum is located at 375 Main Street, Coopersville. The 12,000 square-foot facility was built in 2001 and showcases the John Deere collection of Ed Hanenburg. Changing exhibits also include tractors, farm tools, art galleries, a kid's area, quilts and other showcased collections from the community. The Museum offers a weekly Farmers Market on Wednesday from May through October. Also on Wednesday, from 4-6 p.m. June through September, they offer paper crafts. Basic supplies are provided and other items were provided. Avery August and September over 100 quilts are displayed for an exhibit called "Quilts and Their Stories" . The First and Third Tuesday of every month they host an acoustic music showcase Jam Night, where anyone may sign in to perform a song. The last Saturday of every month is designed for families with children and the event is called "Kids, Crafts and Critters" and admission is free on this day. They do not serve food at the Museum but they have a catering kitchen for groups and snacks and beverages available in the gift shop. The Coopersville Farm Museum and Event Center is available for rental for parties, dinners, family gatherings or business meetings.
