In honor of National Aviation Day, the Gerald R. Ford International Airport will be hosting a free, family-friendly event. Our WCSG’s Travlin’ Together takes a trip to the airport which is celebrating its 60th anniversary this Saturday. The event will include staged aircraft displays, a visit by Aero Med, and an opportunity see up close the airports fire trucks and other vehicles that help the facility run smoothly. There will be outdoor games, live music, food trucks and face painting for the kids. You won’t walk away empty handed as there will be plenty of free giveaways from a number of community partners. Park in the economy lot and you’ll be directed where to enter from there. The event runs from 10am-3pm. We have a link to registration and more information at Ford Airport.

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
