Rockford Reformed Church Youth Ministries girls in 7-9th grade are raising money for the Iron Giraffe organization and also for the preservation of the giraffes.
Every day 800 children in Africa die from lack of clean water, and giraffes face silent extinction due to habitat loss and poaching. There is a way to stop these senseless deaths of children and to prevent the loss of magnificent animals such as the giraffe.
My name is Pat Verburg and I am a youth group leader at Rockford Reformed Church in Rockford, Michigan. My small group consists of seventh, eighth, and ninth grade girls who are committed to raising money to help support clean water for people and safe habitats for giraffes. We would like to donate to the Iron Giraffe organization, who digs wells in Sudan and any money we have left over from our goal we would like to donate to a Giraffe Conservation sanctuary.
We are holding a carnival on Saturday, March 29, 2025, from 11am to 2pm where we will have games, silent auctions, a bake sale, door prizes, and offer lunch. It will be lots of fun with face painting and lots of raffle prizes.
