Sweet-n-Savory Meatballs


1 ½ lb Ground meat (beef, turkey, venison, whatever)
saltine crackers
2 eggs
1 T Oregano
1 ½ t Seasoned salt
1 med Onion, finely diced

½ lg Can tomato juice
¾ c Dark brown sugar
1 t Seasoned salt
1 t Black pepper
1 t Ground cumin
1 T Vinegar
1 T Worcestershire sauce
1 t Ground cloves


Mix meat, eggs, oregano and salt in a bowl. Crumble enough saltines to make mixture bind together. Form into golf ball sized balls. Brown evenly in frying pan.

Mix all sauce ingredients in large pan; add browned meatballs and simmer on med-low for 1 hour. Serve meatballs on mashed potatoes. Spoon leftover sauce on top.
