Holiday Brunch Tonic


1 c. sugar
1 c. water
4 rosemary sprigs
4 c. cranberry juice cocktail, chilled
2 c. fresh orange juice (about 6 oranges), chilled
3 c. club soda, chilled


1: Combine sugar and water in a small saucepan; bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer 4 minutes or until sugar dissolves. Add
rosemary; simmer 5 minutes. Remove from heat.

2: Pour sugar syrup into a bowl; cover and refrigerate overnight.

3: Uncover sugar syrup; remove and discard rosemary sprigs.

4: Combine the sugar syrup, juices, and soda in a large pitcher. Serve
immediately over ice.

Serves 12 (serving size: about 3/4 c.)
