Kennedy has been running as an Independent but says path to Presidency was "not realistic."

Former candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. says he is “suspending his campaign” as a candidate for President of the United States.

In a speech in Arizona, Kennedy says his name will still appear on many ballots, he won’t fight to take his name off of others, and he is endorsing Donald Trump as the candidate he is supporting. However, during the same speech, Kennedy encouraged supporters to still vote for him.

“In my heart, I no longer believe that I have a realistic path of electoral victory in the face of this relentless, systematic censorship and media control. So I cannot, in good conscience, ask my staff and volunteers to keep working their long hours, or ask my donors to keep giving when I cannot honestly tell them that I have a real path to the White House."

Kennedy's chances were difficult at best. The highest poll numbers he attracted in the race were right around two percent.

However, he did ask supporters to vote for him just in case there was "contingent election."

I waited and waited and waited for God. At last he looked; finally he listened. He lifted me out of the ditch, pulled me from deep mud. He stood me up on a solid rock to make sure I wouldn't slip.
