10/08/24 - UPDATE - Agencies Helping Hurricane Relief

The impact of the storm that has cost millions in property damage, has also cost lives.

Hurricane Helene has claimed over 200 lives with hundreds still reported missing. Many of those may be without communication and are unable to connect with relatives. More than 2 million people in the region are reportedly without power, while Florida Governor Ron DeSantis says 99% of the state’s homes and businesses have electrical service.

Meanwhile, relief efforts are being started around the country, including Michigan, in response to the devastation.
