Some AT&T customers will get a small rebate on their bill because of the recent service interruption.
(Positive Prep) - After a big outage that left people without service for hours, AT&T is trying to make up for it by giving affected customers a $5 bill credit. The outage started early Thursday morning and a lot of people complained about it on social media.
They apologized on their website and social media, saying they know the outage caused a lot of frustration.
They're automatically putting the credit on the accounts of people who might have been affected.
But, there's a catch: the $5 is for each account, not for each line, so if you have more than one line with AT&T, you won't get $5 for each one. Also, if you use AT&T Business, AT&T Prepaid, or Cricket service, you won't get the credit. They say they've tried to contact the affected customers, but if you need help, you can call them.
