Former President Trump will visit DeVos Place in Grand Rapids, Tuesday, April 2.

(GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.)  - Republican former President Donald Trump is making a stop in Grand Rapids on Tuesday, April 2.

He is planning to speak at DeVos Place Convention Center around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday and is expected to deliver remarks about President Joe Biden’s immigration policies.

This will be Trump's second campaign visit to Michigan in the 2024 election year.  Just ahead of the Feb. 27 presidential primary, Trump stopped in Oakland County.

Trump said his remarks at the Grand Rapids Convention Center will focus on "Biden's border bloodbath."

The visit comes days after police said a man, who had been deported to Mexico in 2020, took the life of Ruby Garcia of Grand Rapids.  Her body was found along US-131.

Police arrested Brandon Ortiz-Vite on Sunday in connection with the fatal shooting of 25-year-old Ruby Garcia.  Federal officials said Ortiz-Vite had been deported to Mexico in 2020.

Michigan Republican Party Chairman Pete Hoekstra said, “West Michigan suburban families are now facing the fact that the worst issues of the Southern Border have now made their way into our backyard. This is now the second murder by an illegal immigrant in the last year in Kent County. One is a tragedy, two is a trend."

I waited and waited and waited for God. At last he looked; finally he listened. He lifted me out of the ditch, pulled me from deep mud. He stood me up on a solid rock to make sure I wouldn't slip.
