Gilda's LaughFest is a one of a kind event and this weekend includes a number of family oriented, fun activities to help individuals and families journeying through cancer treatment.
One of the more popular events for Gilda’s LaughFest involves families, kids and jokes. Our WCSG’s Travelin Together encourages you to visit Gilda’s Laughfest Headquarters on Bridge Street this Saturday for family fun all morning long.
Young kids get things started by standing up and telling their favorite joke as Kids’ Joke Time starts Saturday with a smile. Kids can turn in their joke, wait to be called, and then perform on stage. After the kids have their turn, it’s time for families to take part in improv on stage. A host will help you with prompts so If your family likes to entertain, this is a fantastic opportunity to share the laughs with the public.
Saturday morning also includes Drums for All with Josh Dunigan. Josh says "All you have to bring is your hands and smiles. Josh will get the drums! After spending some time discovering the music (and laughs) you get to share through guided activities, you will jam and make a musical time together." Open to all, Josh will help you get ready to play your heart out, no matter your skill level.
The festivities start at 9am at the Gilda’s Clubhouse on Bridge Street and all these activities are free. For more information, visit LaughFest.
