The city of Grand Rapids is getting ready to host former President Donald Trump Tuesday afternoon. No rally is planned.
(GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.) - The Kent County Republican Party announces that former President Donald Trump will visit Grand Rapids, Tuesday afternoon, April 2, and will give a speech to law enforcement at DeVos Place.
Trump will speak at a news conference with law enforcement and invited guests.
There will not be an official rally but the GOP is organizing a "President Trump Roadside Rally", from 1PM - 4PM on the roads around DeVos place.
Trump is expected to deliver a speech around 2;30 and focus on the Southern border and immigration.
The high number of migrants arriving at the U.S. southern border has become a major political talking point this election cycle.
Grand Rapids has drawn national attention after a 25-year-old local woman lost her life. Her boyfriend was charged. He was in the U.S. without permission from immigration authorities and had been previously deported.
