MAY 25
GRAND RAPIDS – May 25, 10am-11am
Memorial Day Parade at Veterans Park. Parade begins at Lyon and Monroe, ends at Veterans Park. Ceremony to begin immediately following parade.
MAY 26
AUGUSTA – May 26, 2pm
Fort Custer National Cemetery ceremony and wreath-laying. The public is invited.
MUSKEGON – May 26, 11am
37th Annual Lost Boat Ceremony at US Silversides Submarine Museum. Honoring sailors who lost their lives at sea. Event is free and open to the public.
MAY 27
COOPERSVILLE – May 27, - 9:30am
The Coopersville Memorial Day parade will be held on May 27, 2024. Line up will be at 9:00 a.m. at the Community Service entrance of Coopersville Schools. Step off is at 9:30 a.m.
CASCADE TOWNSHIP – May 27, 10am
Kent District Library - Cascade Township Branch, 2870 Jacksmith Ave SE. Guest speaker will be Thom W. Burke, Captain, U.S. Navy, Retired. (Burke is also a Walker City commissioner).
FREMONT – MAY 27, 6-8PM
Parade begins at the Fire Barn on the east side of downtown and runs down Main Street. Parade ends at Veterans Memorial Park.
FRUITPORT – May 27, 12pm
Fruitport Old Fashion Days. Hosted by the Fruitport Lions Club, this event includes a carnival, music and fireworks.
HOLLAND – May 27, 9:30am
Holland community members will gather downtown on Memorial Day, Monday, May 27, at 9:30 AM for a parade that begins at 8th and Central, heads down Columbia Ave, and ends at the Pilgrim Home Cemetery (370 E 16th St, Holland, MI). The parade is followed at 11:00 AM by a program of remembrance and music in the cemetery.
HUDSONVILLE – May 27, 10am
The annual Memorial Day Service takes place at Veteran’s Park in Hudsonville on Monday, May 27. Ceremony includes laying of the wreaths and recognition of veterans. All are welcome to attend and join us at 10am. Seating is provided.
JAMESTOWN TOWNSHIP – May 27, 10am
Jamestown parade begins at Jamestown Baptist Church and runs to Riley Street Middle School. Lineup by 9:15am, no registration required.
JENISON/GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP – May 27, 9am
The Jenison Memorial Day Parade is held each Memorial Day at 9 a.m. The parade travels along Baldwin Street from the corner of 20th Avenue to Cottonwood Drive. A memorial service will be held at the Georgetown Township Cemetery following the parade. Seating will not be provided.
KALAMAZOO – May 27, 10am
Kalamazoo Sunrise Rotary Club and Charlie's Place co-sponsor the annual Memorial Day Parade in Downtown Kalamazoo. Parade starts on Michigan Avenue in downtown and continues to Riverside Cemetery on Gull Road where a ceremony honoring veterans will be held.
MIDDLEVILLE – May 27, 10:30am – 12:30pm
Join us along Main Street for the Lions Club Parade to honor those who gave their lives for this nation, then head to the cemetery for a ceremony of remembrance organized by the American Legion Post #140.
MUSKEGON – May 27, 10am
Mona Shores Band presents a Memorial Day Salute to our armed forces. Freuenthal Center, 425 W Western Ave, Muskegon, MI 49440.
PLAINWELL – May 27, 11am
Parade runs from 11am – 12pm.
PORTLAND – May 27, 10am
Join VFW 4090 for a solemn ceremony honoring our fallen comrades of wars past.
ROCKFORD – May 27, 11am
American Legion 102 Post ceremony at Rockford Cemetary.
SAUGATUCK – May 27, 9am – 10am
Sponsored by The American Legion. Saugatuck Parade Route: Starts at Culver Street, then proceeds down Butler Street to Mary Street.
WALKER – May 27, 12pm
Parade will include organizations throughout the community. Remembrance Road will close at 11:30 that morning.
WAYLAND – May 27, 11am
The annual Memorial Day Parade will begin at 11 a.m. at the Wayland State Police Post, 544 N. Main St., and concluding at the Wayland VFW, 735 S. Main St.
12:00pm VFW Post Memorial Day Ceremony at the flags at the VFW.
12:30pm Luncheon - Public Invited
Lunch Options: Hot Dogs and/or TBD sandwich with chips.
Sandwiches $5, Hot dogs $3, Pop or Bottled Water $1 each.
This parade has a no-horn, no-sirens policy in memory of the fallen Veterans.
ZEELAND – May 27, 9am
Beginning on East Main, the parade will conclude with a brief ceremony at Zeeland Cemetary at Lincoln and Church Street.
