A new proposed outdoor Amphitheater is being planned for the city of Grand Rapids.
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The economic development group Grand Action 2.0 is leading the push for a new amphitheater for downtown Grand Rapids along the Grand River at 201 Market Avenue.
The Amphitheater project has been approved by the city of Grand Rapids. The Amphitheater would have 12,000 seats, with 5,000 of them on the lawn. Some 50 events could be held from April through October.
Grand Action 2.0 claims the project would have a $490 million economic impact on the city.
Tonight, June 12, an Open House meeting is taking place to provide details, answers to questions, and the address other concerns like: traffic, parking, a projected timeline, the design, etc.
The meeting is open to the public and will be held from 6-8 p.m. at the Van Andel Areana's main floor conference rooms.
More information on the project can be found at: Grand Action 2.0 website.
