Groups may appeal to the Michigan Supreme Court to get initiatives on the November ballot.
The General Election is set for Tuesday, November 8th.
A number of voters have already requested that absentee ballots be sent to them.
The state continues to finalize what we will be voting on and coming up with the final official ballot.
Wednesday, the Michigan Elections Board voted along party lines and rejected an abortion initiative that could have been placed on the ballot. The proposed amendment aims to negate an older state law that would ban abortions in all instances except to save the life of the mother.
Supporters on both sides showed up to speak during the comment portion.
The group in charge of gathering signatures for the measure is expected to appeal to the Supreme Court.
Supporters of another initiative that didn't make the ballot, is a measure to expand voting. They also may appeal.
Groups have seven business days to appeal and the ballot must be finalized by Sept. 9th.
