The Pentagon is confirming attacks as civilians and some Americans prepare to leave Afghanistan.
At least two attacks were carried out in Kabul, Afghanistan and there are reports of US injuries. The Pentagon calls it a “complex attack” and reports there are multiple casualties, Americans among them.
A suicide bomber appears to have walked among a crowd of civilians and set off an explosive device near the Abby Gate at the airport. No word on the number of casualties but it does appear there were Americans affected.
The second attack occurred at a hotel near the first explosion.
The Pentagon has released a statement saying there were Americans among the casualties but has not shared any numbers.
