New President and CEO Charles Burke arrives with vast experience in art, culture, and community connectivity.
Incoming President and CEO Charles Burke can't wait to get to work.

Burke was introduced as the next leader of the Gardens after David Hooker announced his retirement in 2022. Burke comes from The War Memorial Association in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan. The association is a waterfront cultural campus that curates experiences focusing on arts, culture, film, patriotism, community connectivity, and leadership. His work has empowered the total transformation of The War Memorial as a regional impact organization that welcomes 300,000 patrons with over 3,000 events annually, all while incubating 65 nonprofit organizations.
