The social media giants are down after a whistleblower interview sheds light on operations inside the on-line world.
A lot of people are having difficulty logging into Facebook and Instagram today. Both systems are running extremely slow and millions are complaining they cannot access their sites.
It comes on the heels of a 60 Minutes interview with a whistleblower who claims Facebook is detrimental and not acting in societies best interest. White House spokesperson Jen Psaki.
“They made clear that self-regulation is not working. That’s long been the President’s view and the view of this administration. They validate the significant concern that the President and lawmakers, on both sides of the aisle, have expressed about how social media giants operate.”
Documents from Facebook released to the media through a whistleblower, claim that the social media giant shows viewers material they would intentionally make viewers angry. Shares of the company are down over 5% on the day, meaning a loss of millions of dollars in market share.
