For the second month in a row, a record number of Americans have left their jobs.
A record number of Americans quit their jobs in September. This is the second month in a row which saw this increase. The 4.4 million Americans who left positions typically moved to another job with either more pay or better benefits, including hiring bonuses that could sometimes be in the thousands of dollars. The country still has roughly 10 million job openings, but analysts say jobs that are either in-person or lower paying may go unfilled for a long time.
