11/2/21 - Wyoming Police Provide Update to Incident at Local Hotel

An early morning disturbance turns violent and officers give an update.

Two people were pronounced dead following a disturbance at a local hotel.

It stated just after midnight when a security officer at the Grand Rapids Inn was summoned to a room following a call of a disturbance.  It appears the security guard was shot and killed following some type of confrontation with the suspect.  Wyoming police say it appears the suspect then took off and was located near a residential area.  It was then the suspect took his own life.

Another person was inside the hotel room but was unharmed.

Wyoming police released the identity of the guard as 38-year old John Cain.  The suspect in the shooting is identified as 21-year-old Jacob Grygorzyk.
