Copycat threats have been reported throughout the state and many schools will be closed today.
There has been an increased number of schools that will not hold classes on this Friday due to threats of violence.
Many of the schools are closing out of an abundance of caution, but there are some that did have safety concerns and reported threats.
Many are considered to be copycat crimes related to the deadly school shooting at Oxford High School in Oakland County on Tuesday.
Some of the schools are in West Michigan but most are on the east side of the state in the Detroit area.
Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said more than 60 school districts have been impacted by threats and addressing false information takes a lot of time.
Meanwhile funeral services are set for 3 of the 4 students who lost their lives in Tuesday's shooting.
