Dennis Bowman was already serving two life sentences in Virginia for the deaths of women in that state.

A judge sentenced an Allegan County man to 35 years in prison, in connection with the death of his adopted daughter.  Dennis Bowman pleaded no contest to the murder of Aundria Bowman in the late 1980’s.  But he won’t be serving time here.

Bowman is currently being held in Virginia for the deaths of two women in that state.  He was also being held on additional crime charges.

Bowman admitted to his wife of his involvement in Aundria's death.  He also directed police to where he had buried Aundria on the property the couple owned.

Allegan County Prosecutor Myrana Koch says the nature of the crime prompted the judge to sentence Bowman outside the normal guidelines, and ensured he would spend the rest of his life behind bars.

But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ and be found in him…
