2/8/22 - Michigan Appears Ready to Spend Federal Covid Dollars

Over one billion dollars was allocated last year to respond to the crisis. Michigan lawmakers today appear ready to spend those dollars.

Michigan lawmakers are on their way to spending over a billion dollars to improve resources to combat the coronavirus, including money to recruit and retain health care workers.  300 million dollars will go to increasing employment at hospitals and health care facilities across the state.  The measure passed in the Michigan house with the Senate taking up the bills later today.
