Circuit Court Judge Thomas Wilson determined there was no effort on the part of the FBI to entrap the three.
A Circuit court judge has determined there was no effort to entrap three men accused of attempting to kidnap Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
Paul Bellar, Joseph Morrison, and Pete Musico argued the FBI placed them in a situation where they were forced to join others in planning to kidnap Governor Gretchen Whitmer after Coronavirus restrictions were put in place.
This is not the first time the defendants have asked to have charges dropped as a result of the entrapment argument. A previous attempt was also turned down after U.S. District Judge Robert Jonker was asked to throw out the conspiracy charges.
The tree men will face a preliminary exam in August with an expected court start date in September.
