Mayor Bliss delivers her annual State of the City address, just before the State of the Union address.
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Grand Rapids Mayor Rosalynn Bliss gave her annual State of the City address Tuesday evening.
The Mayor highlighted the positive things being done in Grand Rapids and looked to the future to focus on five key points.
She thanked outgoing police chief Eric Payne for his work and welcomed the next chief, Eric Winstrom.
The pandemic appears to be winding down and Mayor Bliss says the city's economy is on the rise and business is improving.
She says things to focus on in the future include: housing, public safety, economic opportunity, investing in place and sustainability and climate.
