Prosecutors are asking the judge in the alleged plot to kidnap the Governor to prevent this testimony.
An informant in the alleged plot to kidnap Governor Gretchen Whitmer is the center of an argument over his testimony. Prosecutors are asking the judge to keep Stephen Robeson from testifying saying he may not provide answers in order to protect himself. Defense lawyers want Robeson on the stand saying he’ll help bolster their entrapment argument.
Defense lawyers began cross examining government witnesses. They are contending the witnesses who've become government informants were doing so in exchange for lighter sentences or to protect themselves.
The trial is expected to wrap up by the end of next week.
