Investigators are looking into the cause of two area fires....one in Muskegon the other in Kalamazoo County.

Early Sunday morning crews were called to a house fire in Wakeshema Township, east of Vicksburg.

A neighbor noticed the fire and called 911.

The house had no working smoke detectors and was a total loss.

Those inside were able to escape but two people had minor burns and were taken to the hospital.

Also Sunday morning firefighters were called to a suspicious fire in Muskegon County.

A residence on Whitehall Road went up in flames.

Nearby police found the body of a man who had been fatally shot.

Police said an investigation is underway and both incidents are believed to be related.

You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
