The Governor is working to keep the Palisades Nuclear Power Plant open.

Michigan’s Governor Gretchen Whitmer  wants a West Michigan nuclear power plant to stay open and she’s asking the federal government to pay for it.

The owner of the Palisades Power Plant says it’s too late save and that the plant will shut down in May as scheduled.

Earlier this week the Biden administration launched a $6 billion effort to rescue nuclear power plants at risk of closing.  He said there is a need to continue nuclear energy as a carbon-free source of power.

Governor Whitmer wrote to Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm Wednesday to urge the department to keep the plant open.

He will be a joy and delight to you, and many will rejoice because of his birth, for he will be great in the sight of the Lord. He is never to take wine or other fermented drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit even before he is born.
