Police again are urging both drivers and motorcyclists to use caution. Two more serious accidents took place over the weekend in West Michigan.
—(Portage, Mich.) - A deadly motorcycle accident took place in Portage on Sunday.
Police say it took place at the intersection of Oakland Drive and Ridgefield Avenue.
A 77-year-old Portage woman who was driving an SUV, attempted to make a lefthand turn when it hit a speeding motorcycle.
The motorcyclist was a 21-year-old man from Portage, who died as a result of his injuries. The SUV driver was hospitalized and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
—(Allegan County, Mich.) - A 26-year-old Allegan woman was taken to the hospital in critical condition, after her motorcycle crashed Sunday evening.
Police were called to the area of 34th Street and 122nd Avenue, shortly after 6 p.m.
Speed is suspected to be a contributor to the crash. The crash remains under investigation.
