Wyoming Police say the suspect appears to have been on an early morning call with another family member before this tragic incident.
One man appears to have taken the lives of three people, including two children, in a home in Wyoming before turning the weapon on himself.
Wyoming Police Chief Kim Koster says they were alerted around 3:40 this morning after a family member got off the phone with the suspect. The man appears to have killed his girlfriend and her two children at a home on Godfrey south of Burton Street. Police arrived shortly after and found the suspect had taken his own life. Three other children were located inside the home. They were physically unharmed.
"This is a devastating example of domestic violence and our officers work tirelessly, everyday, to try to reduce this type of crime in our community." Koster says the three other children, ages 9, 5, and 2, were removed from the home and are now with family members. She says police have been interviewing them, trying to help as they are coping with the situation.
Two of those are children of both the suspect and the adult female. The other is the daughter of the adult victim.
Koster says they have no motive yet for the crime.
