We are now paying 28 cents per gallon more for gas than we did last Monday.

Gas prices in Michigan jumped 28 cents per gallon over this last week.

Gas in now costing us more like $4.39 a gallon.

The average cost of gas in the state of Michigan is $4.32 a gallon.  It is costing the average Michigander $64 to fill up their tank.

the highest averages are found in Marquette and the cities that are paying the least for gas include Traverse City, Ann Arbor, and Metro Detroit.

AAA says that the pump prices will likely face upward pressure as oil prices remain about $105 per barrel.  Also more people are buying gas as they begin to travel more.

Russia's war in Ukraine and hurricane season could also impact prices this summer.
