The trial of Adam Fox and Barry Croft Jr. is coming to a close.
-Jurors could be hearing the closing arguments today in the retrial of two men that were part of a group planning to kidnap Michigan's Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
Adam Fox and Barry Croft Jr. had been tried before but the jury could not reach a unanimous verdict for the two.
The case is being tried in federal court in Grand Rapids.
The two men declined to testify on Friday as defense lawyers rested their case.
Prosecutors say that Fox, Croft and their allies were upset about COVID-19 restrictions and frustrated with the government.
Defense lawyers, say the two were exercising free speech and were not capable of carrying out a plan to abduct a public official and says FBI agents and informants were partly to blame.
