Camp Sparkle offers a day camp for children dealing with cancer and grief.
Gilda's Club Grand Rapids will continue the tradition of Camp Sparkle for the 20th year, August 3-5.
Free and open to the community, Camp Sparkle is an annual day camp for children entering first through sixth grade in the fall and have been impacted by cancer or grief for any reason.
After last year's virtual camp, Gilda's Club Grand Rapids decided to offer Camp Sparkle both virtually and in person for 2021.
Both camps will offer educational and fun elements, which provide healthy ways to cope with cancer and grief and support overall emotional health.
The in-person camp will take place from 9:30-11:30 a.m. on the grounds of Gilda's Club Grand Rapids. The virtual camp, via Zoom, will take place from 12:30-1:30 p.m.
The camp is free to attend and open to students from all surrounding communities.
Those interested in having a child attend camp should contact the Gilda's Club by emailing: info@gildasclubgr.org.
