Police and firefighters were called to an Ottawa County park early Tuesday morning.
OTTAWA COUNTY, MI – (Mlive) - Police are investigating the arson of a storage building at Grose Park in Chester Township.
The building housed several maintenance vehicles and sustained significant fire damage, sheriff’s deputies said.
The fire was reported around 2:45 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 14, at 22200 24th Ave., in northeast Ottawa County.
Firefighters from Chester and Casnovia townships and Rockford responded to the fire. Police reported heavy fire damage.
During the investigation, sheriff’s deputies found fixtures in a nearby restroom had been intentionally damaged.
A state police arson investigator is working with sheriff’s detectives on the investigation.
