The U.S. begins to implement some additional travel restrictions for international travelers.
Starting today, December 6, all inbound international travelers to the United States must take a COVID-19 test within 24 hours of departure.
The new rule applies to all airline passengers over the age of two regardless of vaccine status or nationality.
Travelers on airplanes, busses, and trains will be required to wear a mask through at least mid-March of next year.
It comes as the Omicron variant has now been detected in 17 states and airline travel reaches higher numbers.
