President Biden makes a visit to Iowa and hopes to expand the availability of biofuels.

President Biden will visit an ethanol plant in Menlo, Iowa today.

He will announce that the administration plans to allow gasoline that uses a 15% ethanol blend to be sold during the summer months.

It's called E15 and the blend can cost 10 cents per gallon less on average at the stations where it's sold.

National gas price averages are currently around $4.11 a gallon and that's compared with $2.86 a year ago.

President Biden will announce the increase of more home-grown biofuels and that will reduce dependence on foreign fuels.

Iowa is the nation's top producer of renewable fuel and the corn that is used to make it.
