Several of the wounded have made significant improvements over the last several days following the school shooting in Uvalde, Texas. Victims include several children and adults, including the grandmother of the suspect.

Six people remain hospitalized after suffering injuries in Uvalde, Texas.  They include the grandmother of the suspect who remains in serious condition.

At least three adults remain hospitalized, all of them listed in serious condition.  Three other children are also being cared for and have been upgraded, thought when they may leave has yet to be determined.

Investigators are still combing through witness testimony though what has already been learned has been difficult to cope with.  Police now believe the suspect entered the building though an unsecured door, and was not encountered by any officer when he entered the building as had been shared earlier.

When he did encounter police, he exchanged gunfire and wounded two officers.  Authorities say he expended a large amount of ammunition before officers arrived.

President Joe Biden will visit with families on Sunday.  He's expected to meet with grieving families at a secured location.

Governor Greg Abbot has cancelled an appearance at the NRA’s national convention in Houston today.  The Governor will instead send a pre-recorded message to the group.

He will be a joy and delight to you, and many will rejoice because of his birth, for he will be great in the sight of the Lord. He is never to take wine or other fermented drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit even before he is born.
