The estimated $470 Billion package now heads to the House for a vote.

The Inflation Reduction Act, includes record spending on clean energy initiatives, measures to reduce prescription drug prices and a tax overhaul to ensure large corporations pay income taxes. Every Democrat voted in support and every Republican against the measure.
Some Republicans admonished Democrats for passing a bill like this when inflation is high and say that the bill will drive up inflation and prices, hammer small businesses and American manufacturing, increase the price of gas, and raise taxes on Americans in nearly every tax bracket.
