A unique exhibition featuring fiber based designs is being showcased in St. Joseph in February and March.
A one-of-a-kind art exhibition opens soon and promises to bring the ordinary to an extraordinary level.
Our WCSG’s Travelin’ Together visits that Krasl Art Center in St. Joseph for an exhibit featuring what was once defined as simple craft material, but has now been elevated into an art form with its own category. If you or someone you know loves sewing, quilting, or weaving, the new exhibit “A Beautiful Mess: Weavers & Knotters of the Vanguard” opens February first, and promises to showcase this art form using humble material to express both beauty and relentless creativity.
The use of fibers has now become a mainstream art form, recognized for both the inspiration it delivers, and the mastery of technique needed to bring these masterpieces about. The art center is closed on Sunday and Tuesday. Admission is Free.
