The Grand Rapids nature center is offering a special feature for the month of February.
Free admission is being offered at our WCSG’s Travelin’ Together destination.
Blandford Nature Center in Grand Rapids is not charging for admission to their 264 acres of forests, fields and wildlife in February. Thanks to generous donors, you can hike eight miles of trails that are open from dawn to dusk. Visit the 30 wildlife ambassadors and get to learn more about their behaviors and habitats. These animals, including amphibians, reptiles, mammals, and birds, were all injured and brought to the center to help educate and give families a close-up view of these fascinating creatures.
Don’t forget to explore the Sugar House and see the exciting process of how maple syrup is made. The frontier style housing helps to transport us back to simpler times. However, the complex and time consuming process remains largely unchanged.
