There are plenty of winter activities to do at Ludington State Park - no snow required!
Despite a lack of snow, there are still winter events for the family planned at Ludington State Park.
For our WCSG Travelin' Together series, we want to highlight several activities you can enjoy at the park without breaking the bank. Free, guided hiking tours are being offered through woods and snow-covered sand dunes. All tours start and end at the Warming Station at the park entrance.
Where there is snow, the hikes will turn into snowshoeing hikes through the park. Tours begin at 1pm, with a lantern lit tour beginning at 6pm. The evening hike offers a time to warm up at a fire pit, along with hot chocolate for hikers.
Also during the day, the park offers a brief class on making your own snowshoes. There is a small fee for this class.
The hikes are offered starting this weekend and will run through February 18th.
